Itinerary

DAY 01: LIMA - CITY TOUR

Pick up at the airport and transfer to your hotel.

We will enjoy a tour knowing Lima in its three stages: Ancestral, Colonial and Modern Lima. 

Our tour begins with a visit to the Parque del Amor, where we appreciate the extraordinary scenery of the Costa Verde and the Pacific Ocean.

Then we move to the Pre-Hispanic Lima Pyramid Huaca Pucllana (panoramic visit) ancient ceremonial and archaeological center built in the fourth century A.D. and considered Sacred Town of the Incas. We will also visit El Olivar Park. 

Then we will arrive at the Historic Center of Lima, to visit and appreciate the Plaza de Armas, Government Palace, Archbishop's Palace, Municipal Palace, its beautiful balconies, Colonial mansions, main streets.

DAY 02: LIMA - PARACAS - ICA - LIMA

Very early in the morning, pick up at your hotel to go to the Paracas Spa (travel time: 03 hours approximately).

We will make a stop in Chilca to enjoy a delicious breakfast of chicharrones and tamales (not included).

09:00 Arrival to Paracas, you will go to Puerto El Chaco accompanied by the tour guide, from that place you will depart in modern boats where you can enjoy a wonderful tour to the Ballestas Islands, in addition to appreciate this wonder of nature along with the marine wildlife in the area, such as sea lions, Humboldt penguins, black cormorants or guanay, flamingos, parihuanas and various seabirds. Sea lions as well as penguins will probably come up to the boat and you will be able to appreciate nature's gift. Thousands of seabirds fly among the islands and their nests can be seen on the rocks. You will also appreciate the Candelabro; the guide will narrate the different hypotheses about its formation (approximately 1:40 a.m.). At the end of the excursion there will be a time to buy and have breakfast - juices, etc. Then the guide will take you to the famous stand called Dulcería Viviana located in the surroundings of the resort, where you will taste the traditional handmade chocoteja, as well as alfajores, jams, handmade cookies, stuffed mice, etc.

11:00 Departure to the city of Ica.

12:00 Arrival and excursion to the Oasis of La Huacachina, which is located only 5 km from the center of the city of Ica. In this beautiful lagoon you can enjoy the tranquility of the place and walk around in search of good photos.

Then the guide will give the indications to get on the famous sand carts, where you will live an unforgettable moment of adventure and full adrenaline, where you will go at full speed through the dunes, you can also slide on boards known as Sandboarding.

14:30 The guide will take you to the Restaurant '' Catador '', where the grape brandy, known worldwide as Pisco, is made. It is a Tourist Winery of Pisco and Wines founded in 1856. Very old facilities that reflect the history of Pisco and the artisan tradition of the elaboration of Pisco since the XVI century, guided by an experienced worker of the winery. After visiting the winery facilities, visitors will be invited to taste and/or sample the main products produced in the winery: Wines, Piscos, Pisco Creams, Macerados and Mistelas. Accompanied by dynamic phrases typical of the city of Ica. 

16:30 Departure to Chincha.

17:30 Technical Stop in Chincha at La Bodega - Racimo de Uvas, where there will be another tasting of Wines and Piscos, along with a live show of music or folkloric dance to the sound of the Cajon, dance contest.

18:00 Departure to the city of Lima.

21:00 Arrival in Lima.

DAY 03: LIMA - CUSCO - CITY TOUR

Breakfast at the hotel. 

At the indicated time transfer to the airport in Lima.

Reception at the Cusco airport and transfer to your hotel. 

At the coordinated time we will start picking you up from the hotels, to begin with the visit to the city and nearby ruins, we will visit KORICANCHA, the most sacred and important building of the Tahuantinsuyo empire, also known as Temple of the Sun. 

We continue with the visit to the four ruins near Cusco: SACSAYHUAMAN (great fortress located 5 km from the city), QENQO (sacred amphitheater, center of worship to the god Puma, place where human sacrifices were made), PUCAPUCARA ("Red Fortress" due to the hue that acquires its rocks with the light of twilight) and TAMBOMACHAY (temple to worship the water).

DAY 04: SACRED VALLEY

The tour begins with the pick up of our travelers from their respective hotels, visit to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, on the Vilcanota River, visit to the Inca citadel of Pisac formed by a group of terraces and architectural structures scattered on the slopes and at the top of the mountain, then visit the Indian market of Pisac where we will have the opportunity to learn about the customs of its inhabitants. Lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In the afternoon we visit the Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions of the inhabitants of the jungle. On the way back to Cusco we will visit the picturesque village of Chinchero, where the remains of the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui are located. You will admire its well-preserved Inca Wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial temple with interesting frescoes on the portico, built on the foundations of an Inca building.

DAY 05: MACHU PICCHU

Breakfast at hotel (subject to pick-up time depending on train schedule)

Transfer from the hotel to the train station in Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes.

We will arrive at the train station in Machu Picchu Pueblo then go to Puente Ruinas station, where we will take the buses that will take us to the Lost City of the Incas, "Machu Picchu", the most famous example of Inca architecture. It was discovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. We will enjoy a guided tour of the main buildings of the citadel such as: El Mirador, Temple of the Three Windows, the Intihuatana, The Main Square, etc. 

Al finalizar este recorrido tomaremos el bus de bajada hacia la ciudad de Aguascalientes donde tendrá tiempo libre para almorzar.

In the afternoon we will take the return train.

Arrival at the train station, transfer to Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

DÍA 06: CUSCO - MONTAÑA 7 COLORES

One of the most spectacular geological formations in the world, the famous Vinicunca Mountain, also known as the Mountain of Seven Colors or the Rainbow Mountain. It has a combination of magical colors that delight the eye and enchant the traveler.

We leave early from your hotel, between 4 and 4:30 a.m., on our way to the town of Cusipata, where

We had breakfast around 7.00 am. After about 40 minutes more of walking, we start the two-hour hike to reach the legendary mountain, at about 5,020 meters above sea level. Once there you will be able to appreciate the wonderful combination of colors and geological soils, with time to take pictures of the incredible landscape and take a break. The return to mobility is 2 hours, and we will have lunch before returning to Cusco.

DAY 07: CUSCO

DÍA 08: CUSCO - PUNO

Early in the morning, departure by tourist bus to the city of Puno (3,860 m.a.s.l.). During the trip we will pass by the Wacarpay Lagoon, offering us a spectacular view of the mountains reflected in its calm waters. We visit the pre-Inca citadel of Pikillacta located very close to the lake. Pikillacta is a Quechua word meaning "city of fleas" and is one of the most spectacular centers of the Wari culture. These ruins consist of more than 700 structures of some walls that have risen to almost 12 meters high. We will continue to the picturesque town of Andahuaylillas, where we will visit the temple of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, baptized as the Sistine Chapel of America, for its wealth of colonial art and frescoes that cover walls, plinths, ceilings and doorways. On the way, we will stop in Racchi, where we will visit the spectacular Inca sanctuary built by the Inca Pachacutec dedicated to the great Inca god Wiracocha. 

It has a large central wall with a stone base and other walls made of adobe. In the surroundings of the temple there are several old buildings used as houses or warehouses. Approximately 70 kms. ahead, we will pass through the ranch of La Raya, where we will see herds of vicuñas and llamas. Then we will travel along the Collao plateau, stopping in the town of Ayaviri, an important livestock and textile center, where we will visit the temple of Kalasaya, belonging to the ancient Pucara culture. Buffet lunch in a rural, quiet and peaceful place, where we will delight ourselves with the regional culinary art. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Puno and take you to your hotel.

DIA 09: FULL DAY ISLAS UROS + TAQUILLE

Breakfast at the hotel. 

Transfer from the hotel to the port to board our motorboat and visit the floating islands of Los Uros, which are approximately 30 minutes away. After a brief visit (40 min. approx.), we will continue the trip to the Natural Island of Taquile. Its inhabitants are mainly engaged in agriculture, handicrafts and fishing. The locals continue to live according to their ancient traditions and Inca laws with traditional manifestations, religious and folkloric rituals such as: Marriage (Sirvinacuy), payment to the earth (Pachamama). 

12.00 Hrs. (half day) Typical lunch. After lunch: Passengers will have two hours free to visit the handicraft center of the village and take pictures with panoramic views and then return to the city of Puno (to their respective hotels).
