Arequipa, located in southern Peru, is a city that captivates visitors with its colonial charm, impressive architecture, rich history and stunning natural surroundings. Known as the "White City" due to the abundance of buildings constructed with sillar, a white volcanic stone, Arequipa offers a unique experience for tourists.
Itinerary
DAY 1: CITY TOUR - CONVENT OF SANTA CATALINA PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY
Reception in the city of Arequipa and transfer to the hotel.
14:00 Hrs. We will start our City Tour visiting the Main Square, one of the most beautiful in Peru; the Cathedral, an example of Peruvian architecture during the 19th century that houses precious treasures of gold and silver; and the Church of La Compañía, an old Jesuit temple, perhaps the most important in Arequipa for its history and tradition, with a beautiful facade with columns carved with spirals, laurel wreaths, flowers, birds, etc. Then we will visit the convent of Santa Catalina, a "small city" of the seventeenth century opened to the public in 1970 after 400 years of cloister, transporting visitors four centuries in the past. You will tour numerous spacious courtyards and gardens, the kitchen and slave quarters and the convent's stone washhouses.
Return to the hotel.
Overnight in Arequipa.
DAY 2: SALINAS LAGOON
Breakfast at the hotel.
06:00 to 06:30 Hrs. Pick up from downtown hotels and start of the tour. We will go to the traditional district of Chiguata, where we will make a short walk to the Infiernillo de la Bedoya Waterfall, then we will visit its square and church.
We will continue our tour until we reach the National Reserve Salinas and Aguada Blanca where we can see several volcanoes such as Misti, Pichu Pichu, Chachani, Tacune and Ubinas, mountains and lakes, including the Laguna de Salinas.
Later we will go to the town of Moche to visit the mini volcano of Lojen and its thermal pools (Rusticas).
14:30 Hrs. We start our return to Arequipa.
16:30 Hrs. Arrival to the center of Arequipa.

DAY 3: SILLAR ROUTE
Breakfast at the hotel.
Pick up from downtown hotels and start of our tour where we will visit the quarries and areas where the sillar stone originated. The first point where we will stop will be the Añashuayco Quarry; which we will arrive in 45 minutes approx. It is currently in exploitation, we will be able to appreciate the quarry workers doing their work; in the place we will tell you the history of the ashlar, the elaboration and the use that has always been given to it. In this quarry we will be able to appreciate a carving of the Church of the Company of Jesus made by the quarrymen themselves.
Later we go to the Quebrada de Culebrillas, which is 30 minutes away. Arriving at this point we will make a walk of approximately 20 minutes inside the small canyon that was formed by the passage of water, at the end of the walk we can observe petroglyphs made by the Wari culture, return.

DAY 4: PILLONES WATERFALLS
Breakfast at the hotel.
06:00 A 06:30 Hrs We will pick you up from your hotel or office according to where you are staying. We will go to the Pillones Waterfall in approximately 2 hours. We will be arriving at the starting point of the hike. We will make our first stop in the village Pampa de Arrieros, which was formerly the stop to the white city for people arriving aboard the train. Later we will make a stop at the Carlitos viewpoint to observe the 3 volcanoes of the city (Misti - Chachani - Pichupichu,) and then we will make the next stop at the Salinas and Aguada Blanca Reserves to observe the South American camelids.
10:30 Hrs We will arrive at the point of the hike to pillones for the somewhat complicated descent. We will prepare warm clothes since the altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level is quite cold. We will begin the walk of approximately 30 minutes and a tour along the side of the river before reaching the waterfall. We will be arriving at the main point of the waterfall, where we can take all the pictures we can imagine. We will be approximately 45 minutes in the place.
12:30 Hrs We will return to the point where we left the mobility that will transfer us to the restaurant for lunch and then continue the tour (lunch on behalf of the pax).
13:40 Hrs We begin the tour to the forest of stones of Imata, where we will be an average of 45 minutes. We will be able to take pictures.
15:00 Hrs We will start the return trip to the city of Arequipa.
Overnight in Arequipa.
DAY 5: DEPARTURE TRANSFER
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the hotel for departure.
